Physical addressing and e- commerce programs

There is an increasing uptake of e- commerce in Kenya. There are more ecommerce consumers, product and service varieties, e- transactions and service providers compared to five years ago. This has been enhanced by the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic which has changed the way people view and execute work.

The government continues to support the growth of e-commerce by making appropriate and timely policy, legal and regulatory interventions. One of the key drivers for e-commerce growth has been identified as the implementation of a nationwide physical addressing system.

In this program, the national addressing system stakeholders at County level are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills on local and international addressing standards, regulations and  functions of different arms of government in NAS implementation, revenue generation NAS models and best practice for effective execution of their roles and responsibilities.
